Saw it on the news. Here in the states some want to change the drinking age back to 18. They believe it may help slow binge drinking in colleges.

What's your thoughts.

I say 18. If your old enough and mature enough to go fight in a war or go 10 of thousands of dollars in debt for collage your old enough to drink.

I vote to keep it at 21. Kids in my area are in enough wrecks already from speeding and acting like idiots with their friends. I believe allowing alcohol at 18 then it will become a new factor within these accidents and cause more harm. As is we are lucky that most of the wrecks are single car crashes and the kids are usually running off the road or hit something.

Now if this vote had some sort of sub-clause saying that the age limit remains 21 except for those in military service then I may agree with it. I still think it is pitiful that you can fight and die for your country but you can't drink.

I honestly don't think it would ever curb binge drinking since most college kids drink heavily and party simply because it is the first chance they have to do so. At home you have neighbors, family, and most likely some sort of law enforcement that will break up any major parties or ensure that you will not have the chance to do something like that again. At college nobody cares and you are free to drink and party all you want.

If they want to stop binge drinking they really need to make the college a dry college. That prevents drinking on campus and gives the campus security, police, teachers, and staff to have you thrown out for even stepping on to campus while you are intoxicated. That is the only true prevention that is guaranteed to work.

Lowering the drinking age will just cause more problems than it will solve. You will then not only have binge drinking in college but binge drinking every Friday and Saturday night by High School kids with nothing better to do.

I'm for 18....that's what is was when I was 18 and I don't see any problems with it....instead of coddling the kids and making all of the decisions for them, we need to make them more responsible for their actions and the drinking age really doesn't have anything to do with it....they're gonna drink, just like we did, underage or not.........and I firmly agree that someone who can die for the country should be allowed to have the right to decide if they want a drink or not.......and while we're at it, I vote for nudity on TV!!!!

The question is, how many of you actually waited until you were 18 or 21 to actually drink? What about driving or smoking? All the age limit does is to cover the butts of governments to make it look liek they are doing something for the community, and to raise revenue for the governement by fining companies for serving underage people.

If you want to stop teens binge drinking, get their dead-beat parents off their ass, and get them to actually take an interest in their kids lives. Blame the parents, not the drinking age law.

I wonder if the voting age was increased to 25, you reckon more people would be illegally voting?

welp mine will be quick and to the point................i cant answer this poll..........i believe they should make united stated and surrounding countries a "dry" earth........no more man-made ciggarretes, the produce cancer,no more alocohol that produces liver damage...........but.... see we are a addictive personality society......we fucken latch on to what everybody else is doing......me i say legalize marijuana.....make ciggarrettes out of that......work for glaucoma peeps,.....we would also be a more "happy" society too!!!!!

just my opionion and mine alone......if u feel strongly enough to "banter" what i say.... then maybe u should be the one that stops drinking so much ....and pick-up a "happy cigarelloooooo"! might make u change ur mind!

What made 21 the magic number? They need to pick a number 21 or 18 and make it all legal at that age. I picked 18 because the kids are dying in the army or having their arms and legs blown off but can't buy a beer. We shouldn't shit on the ones who are keeping us safe from the nut job terrorist. And have you noticed they all come from countries where drinking is illegal? If pizza hut would deliver boose with the pizza a lot of drunks would have it delivered instead of driving plus think of all the extra pizza they would sell. I read that there are fewer deaths with it at 21 so maybe they should raise it to 100, by that time we would all be so old and blind we couldn't drive. My wife said last night they should make everything illegal. And for me she has =))=))=))
