Knightrider’s KITT Trans Am For Sale!
The iconic KITT car from the ‘Knight Rider’ TV series is up for sale in an
online auction.
The black Pontiac Trans Am talking car was driven by David Hasselhoff in the
‘Knight Rider’ hit US show and 1984 TV film.
KITT - which stood for ‘Knight Industries Three Thousand’ - is being sold in
California via online auction website, eBay.

Current bidding lists the vehicle at $42,100
though the price is expected to soar in the final minutes of the auction.
The listing reads: “David Hasselhoff played Michael Knight opposite the real
star, KITT. KITT was a 300mph, high tech, self aware communicative, man-made
marvel, designed to aid and protect Michael Knight. Together with his human
co-star, KITT fought for justice across America.”
KITT featured a computerized voice, represented by flashing red lights, and
a ‘futuristic’ interior design. It bears the number plate ‘Knight’.
The KITT model being auctioned was most recently used in the third and
fourth series of ‘Knight Rider’ as well as the TV film. It was also used in
2006 film ‘The Benchwarmers’ which starred Rob Schneider
